ÉireComposites Teo. has been awarded EN/AS 9100 accreditation for design and manufacture of aerospace composite components.
ÉireComposites operates from a 3,500 sq. metre facility in Co. Galway, Ireland and manufactures advanced composite components for a number of international aerospace programmes.
The company has an international customer base in aerospace, wind energy, marine and general automotive sectors. The company specialises in thermoplastic composites and provides composites design, tooling, manufacturing (both thermoplastics and thermoset composites) and testing services to the highest international standards. ÉireComposites Teo. www.eirecomposites.com was formed in April 2006 from a merger of four composites companies: Irish Composites Ltd., Composites Testing Laboratory, PPA Teo. and Gaoth-Tec Teo.
Subsidiary company, Composites Testing Laboratory (CTL) www.ctlcomposites.com is a leader in the field of accredited mechanical and physical testing of advanced composites for aerospace, wind energy and automotive applications. CTL’s testing facility is accredited to ISO 17025 and has numerous aerospace client approvals. ÉireComposites is delivering composite components and assemblies for international aerospace programmes, and participates in major European Union R&D programmes in the aerospace sector (ALCAS, DINAMIT).
ÉireComposites carries out manufacturing of aerospace components and assemblies in both thermoplastic and thermoset composites, using autoclave and oven processes, liquid moulding and press moulding operations. Support activities such as inspection, NDT, trimming and painting are all included within our 3,500 square metre facility in Galway, Ireland. Thermoplastic composite components for wind energy, marine and automotive applications are also manufactured by ÉireComposites using the company’s proprietary MECH TOOL integrally-heated tooling system.
ÉireComposites has world-leading proprietary technology and know-how in manufacturing and tooling for thermoplastic composites – these materials range from glass-fibre polypropylene (Twintex®) to advanced carbon fibre thermoplastics such as PEEK and PEKK. The company also has particular expertise in moulding of new liquid moulded thermoplastic resins such as CBT®, Nylon-12 and Nylon-6.
ÉireComposites offers a complete composites design service, using CATIA V5 and finite element analysis software such as PATRAN and NASTRAN.
