Established in 1998, ÉireComposites operates an accredited composites design, manufacturing and testing facility in Inverin, Galway. With over 60 employees, we have the experience, in-depth expertise and knowledge supplying into aviation, space, renewables and mobility sectors.

Facilities & equipment
ÉireComposites offers a comprehensive range of design, manufacturing, and testing services within our 6000m² facility. Our extensive experience, state-of-the-art facilities, and advanced design capabilities make us a one-stop shop for composite process and product development.
We specialise in both thermoset and thermoplastic parts, with our components featured on commercial aircraft for over a decade. Additionally, we have developed our own patented composite manufacturing technologies, leveraging the quick cycle times of thermoplastic composites.

Dr Tomás Flanagan
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director
Tomás, with a PhD from the University of Cambridge, has expertise in design project planning, risk analysis, and process modeling. He joined ÉireComposites in 2014 as R&D Director, became CEO in 2018, and secured over €16M in R&D funding.
Gerry McManus
Chief Financial Officer
Gerry McManus joined ÉireComposites in 2019, bringing 30 years of experience in manufacturing with him. He is a chartered management accountant.
Declan Folan
Aerospace Project Manager
Declan, with BSc degrees in Physics and Supply Chain Management, has over 10 years’ experience in procurement, sales, and project management. Joining ÉireComposites in 2021, he now manages Aerospace Sales, securing a €14M contract, and targets growth in drones and eVTOL.
Máirtín Ó Mocháin
Quality Manager & NDT Level II/III
Máirtín Ó Mocháin joined ÉireComposites in 2014. He holds a Specialist Diploma in Lean and Quality Systems and is currently studying for his Science and Technology Studies Degree in the University of Galway.
Hilda O’Grady
HR & Business Strategy Manager
Hilda, with over 25 years in HR and project management, holds Master Degrees in Business Strategy, Lean, and Coaching. She has diverse experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, financial services, and automotive sectors. Hilda joined ÉireComposites as HR Manager in 2021.
Tom Keady
Aerospace Production Supervisor
Tom Keady joined the ÉireComposites team in 2013. He coordinates staff across the cleanroom and factory floor to ensure expectations are not only met but exceeded for customers.
Michael McCarthy
Business Development Executive
Michael Mc Carthy is the Business Development Executive for ÉireComposites connecting with potential new customers and working on novel research and development proposals to add to our ever-expanding body of work.
Rebecca McLoughlin
Marketing Manager
Rebecca has a Master’s in Business Analytics from UGalway and joined ÉireComposites in 2017. She has worked on several funded research projects for the advanced materials and manufacturing. She leads communication and commercialisation aspects of projects such as H2020 CRIMSON and MULTHEM.
Michael Hannigan
Senior Project Engineer
Michael, a Colorado State University graduate in Manufacturing Technology, has extensive experience with Boeing, Cessna Aircraft, and Hexcel Structures. He joined ÉireComposites in 2023, specializing in aerospace production management.
