Job Summary
Due to expansion, the Company now seeks to recruit a Commercial Program and Project Manager. The successful candidate will oversee the management and execution of composite manufacturing programs. This role combines strategic program management and commercial responsibilities to drive growth and deliver value across key client projects. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of composites, program management expertise, and a proven ability to cultivate strong relationships within the industry.
Key Responsibilities
Project and Programme management
- Manage all ongoing production programs, including overseeing customer rate readiness audits, capacity monitoring, and acting as the primary point of contact for all existing customers and program-related inquiries.
- Oversee contract execution and management with key clients, managing any modifications to scope, timelines, or compliance requirements, and ensure that contracts are updated to reflect the latest industry standards and evolving client needs.
- Lead onboarding of new aerospace programs and projects.
- Update annual price lists and maintain material flow agreements in alignment with contract requirements for key customers.
- Develop and execute program strategies, aligning with ÉireComposites’ strategic objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex composite programs on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Define program requirements based on customer feedback, market trends, and company goals.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, finance, and operations to ensure seamless integration and execution of programs.
- Drive innovation by incorporating advancements in composite technology and industry best practices into program planning and execution.
- Monitor KPIs, assess program performance, and use data to guide strategic decision-making and program adjustments.
- Manage budgets, allocate resources, and oversee all program phases from concept to delivery.
- Provide regular updates and advisories to senior leadership, offering insights into program performance and recommended improvements.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and industry standards throughout program activities.
- Support Sales in the development of proposals in response to RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs, collaborating with engineering and finance for technical and financial accuracy.
- Support Sales in the quotation process for new programs, including pricing strategy & approvals to ensure ÉireComposites remains competitive.
- Prepare monthly stakeholder and shareholder reports and presentations, providing transparency on program progress.
- Coordinate existing customer site visits representing ÉireComposites best interests, and, where required, attend trade shows and new customer visits to build relationships.
- Work closely with the sales, operations, engineering and quality teams as required to plan and execute large projects and programmes.
- Undertake other duties within the competence and capacity of the role as required to support changing business needs from time to time.
People Management & Other:
- Manage team relations and direct reports, support and provide mentoring and coaching.
- Monitor team performance, setting clear objectives and conducting performance reviews.
- Mentor and develop team members within programs and projects across company.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all teams.
- Implement lean practices to optimise workflows and reduce waste.
- Perform all duties as assigned by your manager.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP certification is a plus.
Experience:
- Experience is desired in fast paced environment and in the management of complex competing projects and programmes. Demonstrated experience program & project management.
- Experience in composites/aerospace is desired but not essential.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within aerospace or composites manufacturing or engineering is desirable but not essential.
- A target driven attitude with the desire to succeed.
- Ability to travel to visit customers and attend trade shows.
- A qualification in and or record of Project Management desirable not essential.
Skills:
- Strong strategic, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Familiarity with agile and lean methodologies, program management tools, and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong writing, report, and analysis skills.
