Job Summary

A vacancy now exists for a Project Engineer to join the Engineering team in ÉireComposites. This role will report to the Team Leads. This is a great opportunity for someone with >2years engineering experience to further progress their career in a company that is working at the cutting edge of engineering. Due to the nature of EireComposites’ client-base and affinity towards working with innovative companies, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills by working on ground-breaking technologies. The role will require technical aptitude, leadership, combined with the ability to communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • As an Engineer at ÉireComposites, your deliverables will mainly include but are not limited to the below responsibilities:
  • Delivering R&D and commercial projects for aerospace and renewable energy. 
  • Defining the research agenda for the company.
  • Developing research proposals for organisations like the European Space Agency, the European Commission, and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland & Enterprise Ireland.
  • Performing research activities drafting & submitting project reports.
  • Designing and manufacturing cutting-edge composite parts.
  • Implementing process control and quality management systems.
  • Working as part of an established engineering team to add value plan and deliver projects.
  • Working closely with the sales, operations and quality teams to plan and execute large projects.
  • Undertaking other duties within the competence and capacity of the role as required to support changing business needs from time to time.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: A technical or scientific degree from a leading university, preferably in mechanical engineering, manufacturing, design, or a similar field.
  • Experience: Experience is desired. 
    • Excellent technical skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
    • A target driven attitude with the desire to succeed.
    • Ability to travel to visit customers and attend trade shows.
    • A qualification in and or working knowledge of CAD/solidworks.
    • A qualification in and or track record of Project Management desirable not essential. 
  • Skills: Self-motivated and willing to work on own initiative.
    • Effective team contributing to their own team and cross functionally.
    • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
    • Comfortable in managing competing priorities.
    • Strong writing skills.
    • High levels of motivation and ambition.
    • Open to ongoing learning, development, and cross training.
    • Other: Fluency in Irish is desirable but not essential.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Highly self-motivated and the ability to work on own initiative.
      • Open to feedback and eager to develop.
